About This Plant
Blue Creeping Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) is a perennial ground cover known for low-growing, mat-forming habit, producing blue-green foliage and purple blooms in late spring to early summer. It grows 2-4 inches tall with a spread of 12-24 inches, ideal for rock gardens, borders, pathways, and between pavers. It tolerates full sun to partial shade and well-drained, sandy or rocky soils. Drought-tolerant once established and capable of handling light foot traffic.
